RIDER INFORMATIONOur riders come from the greater Hutt Valley area from as far north as Te Marua to Eastbourne in the south. There is no stipulation on age. The benefits gained from therapeutic horse riding are improved balance, coordination, posture and muscle tone; it also aids perception and spatial awareness. Horse riding improves communication and social skills. It promotes independence and encourages decision making so confidence and self-esteem are enhanced.

RIDER REFERRALSOur Riders can be referred from special needs units within schools, doctors, therapists, or come to us directly.
ASSESSMENTOur riders attend riding to achieve specific goals, whether it is therapeutic, educational, sporting or recreational. Each Rider has their own individualised programm. Before riding begins, a Rider must: Have a completed referral request sent to us Undergo an assessment at HVRDA After a place has been offered, a rider will need to provide a medical certificate from their doctor sign an agreement that allows them to ride, which includes a consent and medical release
